She was born Sept. 26, 1920 at home in rural Covington, the daughter of Theodore and Eva Maffett Grubb. She married Earl G. Mycroft on March 22, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Mary Jean Crain and a son-in-law, Arnold Messick.
Surviving are four daughters, Loretta S. (Phil) Hughes, Bonnie C. Messick, Nancy (Scott) Wallace and Joyce (Arnold "Boze") Keeling; a brother, Jack (Linda) Grubb; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She had been employed in Covington at Norma's Dress Shop, Sprague's and Covington Cleaners.
