RITES FOR ALICE VAUGHAN CONDUCTED OCTOBER 7
Mrs. Alice Vaughan, a member of the First Baptist Church, passed away Friday, October 5, 1973, in the Childress Hospital, Goldthwaite, Texas.
Born July 27, 1906, in Lampasas County she was the daughter of the late Walter Scott Cunningham and Stella Davis Cunningham. On December 24, 1929, she was married to Truman Vaughan at the home of Rev. L. L. Hayes at Trigger Mountain in Mills County.
Mrs. Vaughan, who is preceded in death by her husband, moved to Mills County when she was a child.
Survivors include two sons; H. T. Vaughan, Jr. Houston; Johnny Vaughan, Goldthwaite; Three daughters, Mrs. Jerol Daniel, Goldthwaite; Mrs. Scottie Leech, Brownfield; Mrs. Barbara Land, Midland; twelve grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Myriel Roberts, Houston.
Pallbearers were Fred Reynolds, Walter Summy, Bill Burk, F.W. (Nibbin) Lewis, Glenn Petty, and L. B. Bramblett.
Services for Mrs. Alice Vaughan of Goldthwaite were conducted in the First Baptist Church Sunday, October 7, 1973, at 2 p.m. Burial was in the North Brown Cemetery. Rev. Dan Connally officiated. Funeral arrangements were under the
direction of Wilkins Funeral Home.
