James A. Kinser, 74, of Kenosha, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by his family.

Born in Elroy, Wis., on Jan. 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mildred (Sorenson) Kinser.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

On Sept. 10, 1960, at First Methodist Church, Elroy, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Dunow.

Jim was employed with Tri-Clover for 30 years, retiring in 1999 as a pump assembler. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge #34. Jim was also a proud member of the N.R.A. and loved to hunt. He enjoyed working on cars, playing games on the computer, camping and most of all spending time with his family.

He will always be remembered by his wife of 53 years, Margie Kinser; his two children, Christopher (Jean) Kinser and Lisa (Todd) Hummel; his five loving grandchildren, Kari, Heather, Michael, Jasmine and Hope; and his two adorable great grandchildren, Kelsie and Trenton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Kinser in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Jim will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
