Gilbert L. Hutchens, 265 Nevada street, died at his home Sunday; evening at 6:35 o'clock. He had been ailing or the past year.
Mr. Hutchens, who was a dispatcher for the Illinois Central railroad, was born in Springfield, Ill., October 15, 1869, and had resided in Dubuque for the past several years.
He was a member of the Martin lodge No. 492, A.F. and A.M., of East Dubuque. Besides his widow he leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Mrs. L. Hutchens, and four sisters, Mrs. B. Miller, Misses Bernice, Grace and Emma, all of Chicago.
The funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in Linwood cemetery, services at the graveside to be conducted by the Martin lodge members.
Either his gravestone is incorrect or his death certificate which has the same birthdate as October 15, 1869.
