YOUNG - Jemima - March 4, 1918 - Mrs. Jemima Young was born near West Monterey July 18, 1832, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Cochran, near Rimersburg, Saturday, Feb. 16, 1918, aged 85 years 6 months and 28 days. Mrs. Young was a daughter of Philip and Margaret Barger. On April 23, 1852, she was married to Mr. George Young, the living happily together for 65 years. To them were born five children, of whom four surve, namely; Mrs. Jos. Vasbinder, Phillipston; Mrs. O. N. Gates, Perry Township; Mrs. W. E. Cochran, near Rimersburg; Mrs. Isaac Young, Worthington. She also leaves one daughter in law, Mrs. (unreadable) Young, of West Freedom, and (unreadable) brothers, three sisters, 26 grandchildren and fifty great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Young was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Concord for a number of years. Her Christian faith shone out clearly during the two years of her helplessness. Funeral services were held at Concord Presbyterian Church Tuesday, Feb. 19, conducted by the pastor, Rev. E.D. Crawford. Interment was made in the Concord cemetery by the side of her husband who preceded her two years ago.
