Jimmy Shirel Chambers, 77, died in his home in Pineland Sunday morning. Shirel was born in San Augustine County, Texas, to Olen and Lura Crocker Chambers. Shirel served in the U.S. Army and worked as a supervisor with his father in the Chambers Lumber Company in Pineland, Texas.
He is survived by his sons; Dan Chambers of Pineland, Sam Chambers and his wife Laurie of Hudson, TX, his daughters; Rebecca Corrigan of Plano, Denise Gaddy and her husband Burl of Overland Park, KS, Camille Lynn and her husband John of Parker, CO, his sister Sue Nell Killion and her husband Curtis of Nederland, and eleven grandchildren. Shirel was preceded in death by his wife Paula Chambers.
A family memorial service will be at a later date.
