Rhoda first married Nicholas Rapier on Oct. 7, 1874 Nelson County, Kentucky. (He had married Charlotte Boone on 30 April 1844 & they had 8 children, she died in 1870). Nicholas died in 1890.
Secondly married Thomas Jefferson Pottinger in Jefferson County, Ky in 1893 (T.J. had married Vienna Maria Remey on Dec 24, 1846 and they had 6 children). T.J. died in 1900.
Rhoda died in 1916 at the age of 70 on the plantation owned by her and her first husband, four miles east of Hodgenville.
