Born in Belchertown, son of James B. & Melissa (Watkins) Hamblin.

He married in Peru, widow Alice May (Squires) Wheeler 19 July 1903.

He died in Dalton, 8 July 1908 from "Neurasthenia" (def. The condition was explained as being a result of exhaustion of the central nervous system's energy reserves). He was aged 40 years, 3 months and 19 days.
