LEXINGTON - Funeral service for Lillie Mae Bishop of Lexington, will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Lexington with interment to follow in Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Lexington County on October 12, 1921 to the late Sherman Leaphart and Mary Goodwine Leaphart. She departed this earthly life on August 27, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center.
Mrs. Bishop was a member of New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church. In addition to her late husband; John Bishop, she leaves to mourn his daughter Earl (Quince Ann) Ashury, four grandchildren, a special nephew, David Lee Johnson and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 1101 Charleston Hwy., West Columbia.
