"The 1850 Census of Ashland County, Ohio States that Zachariah was born in Virginia--Evidence shows that he may have come from Brook County, Virginia (Now West Virginia). He and Edee came to Ashland County shortly after their marriage, this was then Wayne County, and lived in Vermilion Township near the village of Widowville. Along with one Ephraim Davis, Zachariah was named Trustee of the Harlan/Wilson Cemetery where Zach's brother Nathaniel is buried. This Cemetery is located on State Route 511, Opposite the junction with County Road #2206 in Vermilion Township."
