Audrey Pauline (Bonner) Simmons, 86, of Staunton, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Augusta Health.
She was born April 13, 1927 in Bath County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Fred Mackey Bonner and Myrtle Ship Bonner.
Audrey was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and taught Bible School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Ed Simmons in 1988; a son, Danny Simmons in 2013 and a grandson, Chris Raines in 2010.
Survivors include two daughters; Karen Older and her husband Garry of Waynesboro, Donna Waybright of Waynesboro; four, grandchildren; nine, great-grandchildren; three, great-great- grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday (Dec.3, 2013) at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev.Steven T. Parker. Active pallbearers will be family members. Family will meet at the funeral home 1:30 P.M Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.Monday (Dec.2, 2013) at McDow Funeral Home.
