Death of John Coffman.

After a month or more of illness with pneumonia, John Coffman died at his home in Montgomery City, MO on Saturday, March 2, 1907, aged 68 years, 5 months and 22 days. The funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church in High Hill, MO, on Monday, March 4, the funeral sermon being preached by Eld. W. L. Carr. He was laid to rest in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, near High Hill, MO.

Deceased was born in Highland County, Ohio, on September 11, 1838, and was united in marriage with Miss Sarah A. Wood, March 29, 1860. Of the eight children born to this union, four of them, with their mother, survive him. Two sons, Edgar of High Hill, and Joseph, of Montgomery City; and two daughters, Mrs. W.P. Ellrod, of Vermont and Mrs. Jessie Hocker, of New Florence.

Mr. Coffman and his wife united with the Christian Church at Buford, Ohio, soon after their marriage. In 1866 they came to Montgomery County, and lived two or three miles east of Price's Branch. They also lived many years west of High Hill.

Deceased was highly respected and a good citizen, and the TRIBUNE joins in extending to the bereaved family heartfelt sympathy.
