John Harve Campbell, 65, of Iotla community died Tuesday, January 30, in an Asheville hospital after an extended illness.

A native of Macon County, he was a builder and was a member of Iotla Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and taught the Men's Bible Class for more than 20 years.

He was a son of the late Edwin and Emma Fouts Campbell.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Hudspeth Campbell; a sister, Lucy Evans; and two brothers, Leslie and Glen Campbell, both of Franklin.

Memorial services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Bryant Funeral Home, Franklin. The Rev. Larry Steppleton officiated.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Western North Carolina, the building fund of Iotla Baptist Church c/o Pete Penland, or to one's favorite charity.
