Elsie J. Hein(sic), 93, a life long Manitowoc County resident, died Saturday morning, July 11, 1987 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Andrew Catholic church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Stamborski with burial to follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Manitowoc County.
Mrs. Hein, nee Elsie Johanna Trost, was born March 6, 1894 in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Joseph and Augusta Leverance Trost. She married Phillip Hein on October 24, 1912 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. He preceded her in death February 12, 1954. Mrs. Hein was a charter member of St. Andrew Parish and an honorary member of St. Theresa Society of the parish.
Survivors include five sons and five daughters-in-law, Francis P. and Dorothy M. Hein, Bernard T. and Helen T. Hein, Richard and Lucille Hein, Paul Hein and Raymond and Leona Hein, all of Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law, Agnes Hein of New Mexico; five daughters and five sons-in-law, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Schmitz, Mrs. Vernon (Gertrude) Kowalski, Mrs. Louis (Anna Mae) Cerkas, all of Manitowoc, Mrs. Clem (Martha) Linsmeier of Whitelaw and Mrs. Francis (Marie) Linsmeier of Whitelaw; 40 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and a great great grandson also survive. she was preceded in death by a son, John, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 pm to 9 pm this Sunday. Prayer service will be held at 7 pm this evening led by Father Stamborski.
