Tracy Dvoracek Morse passed away on August 25, 2015 in Waco, Texas. She was a resident at St. Catherine's Center. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. John Guzaldo as celebrant. Visitation and rosary will be prior to the Mass of Christian Burial, beginning at 9:45 a.m. Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in West, Texas at 2 p.m.

Theresa Hedwig (Tracy) Dvoracek was born October 15, 1917 in Hungerford, Texas to John and Mary (Pilcik) Dvoracek. She was the youngest of 14 children, raised in Cottonwood and West. She attended St. Mary's Elementary School and graduated from West High School in 1936. She spent her entire life in the West-Waco area. She lived in West until 1973 when she moved to Waco.

After graduation, she began working as a secretary for Bill Powers in an insurance agency in Waco which eventually became part of Southland Life. She retired from Southland in 1987. She was an active member of the West Catholic Daughters of America #29, St. Ludmilla Society of the KJZT in West and the McLennan - Hill County Czech Heritage Association.

Tracy loved to sing. She was an active member of the choir at St. Louis and prior to that was a member of the St. Cecilia Choir at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West, She was also a member of the Sweet Adeline's in Waco.

Her love of dancing-waltzing, polka-ing, etc., led her to the love of her life, Chuck (Charles) Morse. They met on the dance floor and married about six months later in Waco on May 11, 1985. They made their home in Bellmead.

Tracy was an active volunteer at St. Catherine's Center until she became a resident in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chuck, three brothers, John, Joe, Louis, and ten sisters, Irene Whitman, Christine Dvoracek, Mary Jansa, Agnes Mullins, Albina Svrcek, Julia Dlabaj, Tillie Harrison, Justine Dvoracek, Anne Horton, and Betty Payne. Mama and Papa now have all their children home with them forever.

Survivors include her step-children, Charles (Donna) Morse of Melissa, and Carolyn (Don) McMeans of Sonora, and their children. Several generations of nieces and nephews are also among her survivors, notably her faithful caretaker, Betty Svrcek Wyatt of Waco.

Pallbearers are great nephews: David Gray, Tom Marek, Michael Wyatt, Harry Vrana, Jr., Sammy Bert and John Dvoracek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Catherine's Center 300 West Hwy 6, Waco, Tx 76712 or to the West Rest Haven, 503 Meadow Dr., West, Tx 76691.

The family extends a special thanks to the 4th Floor Staff of St. Catherine's and Providence Hospice for their compassion and exceptional care.
