Newport - Mrs. Mary C. Pardee, 85, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Serviss, here unexpectedly on Nov. 9, 1944. Dr. James Graves , Herkimer, was called and said death was due to natural causes.
She was born in the Town of Schuyler, Nov. 24, 1858, daughter of Donald and Elizabeth Kuhn Cooley.
She married William Pardee, who died Nov. 17, 1940. She had resided here for the last 26 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Serviss and Mrs. A.R. (Carrie M.) McKerrow, both of Newport; six sons, John, Delaware County; William, Gray; Raymond, Poland; Ernest and Edward, Newport; "Alvey" Alvah W., Marcy; a sister, Miss Carrie Cooley, Newport; 33 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
