Melanie loved her family. She loved to read, music, fishing ,shrimping and going crabbing.
She was survived by her companion of 17 years, Cordell LeJeune; 2 sons, Joshua Newman and Hunter LeJeune both of Jennings; mother and step father, Renee Smith and Merrill Smith of Jennings; 3 sisters, Tracey Regan (Myles), Brandie Mack (Bryan) both of Jennings and Nicole Cole (Chris) of Kinder; uncle, Robert Fruge of Hathaway and sister-in-law, Annette Demolle of Jennings; godchildren, Wyatt Cole, Alyssa Regan and McKena Landry; 2 special nieces, Morgan Mack and Kamryn Cole plus numerous nieces and nephews. Her extended family, Linda LeBlanc, Tommy Harelson and Rachella Negy.
Melanie preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon and Isabelle Fruge; father, James Boles; sister-in-law Pamela Landry and godmother and godfather, Eula and Leonard Fruge.
Carrying Melanie to her final resting place will be Brent Fruge, Bryan Mack, Joshua Newman, Terry Landry, David and Ronnie LeJeune and Wendell Fruge.
