Patricia Ann Arthur, 64, of Marceline, Missouri, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at her residence.

Patricia was born in Chanute, Kansas, on May 3, 1949, the daughter of John and Betty (Hamilton) Newton.

She attended Chanute schools.

She married Terry E. Arthur in Camdenton, Missouri, on May 3, 1980. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2013.

She ran the Eagles Club in Neodesha, KS. She also worked as a cook at several local restaurants. After moving to Marceline, MO, she worked as a cook at the nursing home.

Patricia is survived by her three sisters, Joyce Graham and husband, Tom, of Chanute, KS, Jean Barriger and husband, Junior, of Chanute, KS, and Connie Combs and husband, Mark, of Dewey, OK; two brothers, Scott Newton of Marceline, MO, and Terry Newton and wife, Barbara, of Muskogee, OK; several nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John "Red" Newton, Jr.

Graveside service will be Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS.

Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.

Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory Johnson Chapel, Chanute, KS, is in charge of arrangements.
