Lyn E. Hahn age 66 of Mayer passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Memorial Service held Saturday November 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church (209 Bluejay Avenue North) in Mayer with Rev. Lucas Woodford officiating; a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service; interment Church Cemetery.
Lyn was born on May 21, 1947 in Lester Prairie, MN the daughter of Everett and Laila (Larson) Kuhlman. She was baptized on June 22, 1947 at Bergen Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by Rev. M. Lutness and confirmed on March 26, 1961 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by Rev. A.F. Vomhof. On July 16, 1971, Lyn was united in marriage to Stephen M. Hahn at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie by Rev. N.E. Steinke.
Lyn graduated from Lester Prairie High School in 1965 and furthered her education at St. Cloud State University and Concordia College in St. Paul. She worked for Northwest Airlines for 37 years, which enabled her to touch many lives and allowed her travel the world. Lyn ended her career at Sage Travel in Chaska.
Lyn was married to Stephen Hahn for 42 years and in 1975 gave birth to their son Blake. She loved the Sunday School Children at Zion Lutheran Church and she was the superintendent for many years.
Lyn was always known to family and friends as Lynie, she opened her heart and her home to so many, always entertaining and bringing people together. Lyn had a bubbling personality, was very outgoing and always full of life.
Most importantly she loved being a nana to her grandchildren. She was a great wife, an amazing mother, and a wonderful nana. She was a kind and generous friend to many. She will be missed.
Lyn is preceded in death by her father and mother Everett and Laila Kuhlman; sister Ruth Bates; nephew Patrick Thor Drew.
Lyn is survived by her loving family; husband Stephen Hahn; son Blake (Jill) Hahn of Mayer; grandchildren Isaac, Levi and Ada Hahn; sister and brothers-in-law Sandra and Bill Drew of Mayer, Charles Bates of Waconia; mother-in-law Inez Hahn of Watertown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Les and Charlotte Hahn of Mayer, Tom Hahn of Mayer, Jeff Hahn of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
