Frank S. Benson of Memphis, TN (born August 15, 1920 in Water Valley, MS) was called home to Heaven on November 24, 2013.

Frank, known as husband, dad, granddaddy, and friend, was dearly loved by family and friends because of his gentle spirit, smile, sense of humor, and a heart that humbly served others. He served our country with the Air Force in Germany and Korean Conflict, a CPA in private practice, and a Deacon and active member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church. Frank was a gifted woodworker and left a piece of himself through the gift of his incredible carvings, art, and furniture.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Regina F. Benson; daughter, Donna and granddaughter, Jessica of Memphis; son, Bob, wife Kelley, and grandchildren Taylor, Brittany, and Hunter of Southaven, MS.

Services will be on December 2 at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, Memphis, TN with Visitation 11 a.m. to Noon and Memorial Service at Noon followed by reception.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to either Idlewild Youth Ministry or Forever Young Senior Wish in Collierville, TN that provides honor trips for WWII Veterans.
