Funeral services for Florence Kaack Leissner, 92, of Needville, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with Rev. Greg Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Needville.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Florence was born June 15, 1921 in Washington County, Texas to Henry Fritz Poehls and Pauline Weidmann Poehls. She married Fritz Kaack on April 6, 1941. They shared four beautiful children and 25 years together.
Florence went to work for Fort Bend Telephone Company on July 1, 1955. She retired on July 1, 1990 after 35 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as working in her beautiful yard and garden in her spare time.
Florence married Raymond Leissner on November 7, 1975. They shared 35 years together until his death on July 9, 2010.
She passed away November 27, 2013 in Needville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pauline Poehls; husbands, Fritz Kaack and Raymond Leissner; infant daughter, Barbara Kaack; brother, Jesse Poehls; sisters, Selma Williams and Myrtle Poehls; sister-in-law, Betty Poehls; brothers-in-law, Norman William, Albert Meyer and Milton Fisher; and son-in-law, Clarence Rychlik.
She is survived by her children, Wesley Kaack and wife, Beverly, Lee Kaack and wife, Beverly, and Carol Rychlik; sisters, Matilda Meyer and Pauline Fisher; brothers, Lawrence Poehls and wife, Christine, Milton Poehls and wife, Barbara; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will include Michael Rychlik, Robert Rychlik, David Kaack, James Kaack, Steven Rychlik and Justin Svatek.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Florence to SPJST Nursing Home #2, 8611 Main Street, Needville, Texas, 77461.
