The family of Leonard C. Allsup, residing in Carr township, a few miles from Medora, were horrified on Sunday morning last, upon discovering him lying in bed, cold and still in death. He had retired the evening before apparently in good health. His sudden death is attributed to neuralgia of the heart. He was about 60 years of age. He was an upright man and useful citizen, and commanded the esteem of the community generally.
Possibly the son of John and Nancy (Shoemaker) Allsup. The second husband of Nancy (Shoemaker) Allsup was Isaac Harrell, both are buried at Harrell Cemetery, Jackson County, IN.
