Tara Hardin Black, 59, passed away November 28, 2013.
She was born October 28, 1954 in Fort Smith to P.H. "Hugh" and Nadine (Strang) Hardin Miller.

She was a graduate of the Hockaday School and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
Tara was a Certified Public Accountant, loved to sew and embroidery, and she loved her furry companion, Baby Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her father, P.H. "Hugh" Hardin.

She is survived by her son, Jeremy Hardin Black of Austin, TX; her mother, Nadine Hardin Miller and her husband Bob of Fort Smith; one brother, David Hardin and his partner Janett Nicholson of Fort Smith; two sisters, Betsy Hardin Rayle and her husband Bert, of Dallas, TX and Lori Hardin and her husband Mike Willis, of Dallas, TX; stepbrother, Mike Miller and his wife Kathy and their family, of Fort Smith; stepsister, Marcia Miller Clement and her husband Duke and their family, of Fort Smith. Tara is also survived by the father of her son, Stephen Charles Black of Dallas, TX; four nieces and nephews; Ashley Hardin, Michael David Hardin and his wife Brooke, Albert and Elizabeth Rayle; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial service was held Friday, November 29, 2013 in Roebuck Chapel at First United Methodist Church. Cremation and services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Placement of cremated remains will be at a later date in the garden of the columbarium at First United Methodist Church.
