She was a homemaker and a retired school teacher, having taught in many of the rural and public schools in the area including Pearl Hill, Dewey, Freedom, Gem, Lynnland, Mayflower, Avilla, Jasper and Carthage. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church.
Dana was united in marriage to George E. Case on May 11, 1947 in rural Carthage. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2003. She is survived by a son, a daughter, a sister, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
