Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Thompson who passed away May 29, 1956 will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Mathews officiating, and burial in the Oakland cemetery.

THE JOE THOMPSONS OBSERVED CORAL WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thompson celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary at their home at 520 North 7th street. Friday evening, November 28, 1941. they were united in marriage by Rev. J. D. Vannoy at the Baptist parsonage in Centerville. This city has always been their home.
Mr. Thompson is the son of Joseph S. and Ellen Thompson while Mrs. Thompson was born Lena Leota Brough, daughter of Lorenzo and Ida Brough. To this union was born one son Joseph Leroy who passed away at the age of 13.
Many friends were in attendance at the lovely anniversary celebration, which was planned by Mrs. Frank Kennis and Mrs. Myrtle Wilson.
Mr. and Mrs. Thompson received many useful gifts. the lovely cakes added to the beautiful table decorations. games and a social time were enjoyed.
refreshments of ice cream, cake and homemade candy were served at the close of the evening.
Prizes for the game winners were received by Miss Xenia Flint, Mrs. George Buck, Mrs. Doyle Russell, Mrs. Ed Loddewyk and Mrs. Rose Long.
Those present to wish Mr. and Mrs. many more happy and healthful anniversaries were Mrs. Myrtle Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kennis, Mr. and Mrs. Ed.
