John Evarts, son of William Evarts and Sarah (Everhard) Evarts, husband of Elizabeth Heydon and Elizabeth Bradley-Parmelee, arrived New England during summer of 1636 (ship unknown) and was among the great number of Englishmen who crossed the wild, unchartered Atlantic during 1629-1640 to stake out a new life on another continent. Some were Puritans, who were being persecuted by King Charles, others were indentured servants, farmers, tradesmen, professionals, and adventurers. His grave is lost.
