Barry L. Bailey Sr., 65, of Richmond, a retired bricklayer, passed away Wednesday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 30, in Lawson funeral Home Chapel with burial in Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 29, also at Lawson's. His mother, Virgie Bailey, passed away the day before his death.
Barry Leigh was born in Waco, Texas, to late George T. and Virgie Cole Bailey. His family moved to Morgan when he was a young child, where he was raised. Barry worked in the construction industry as a bricklayer.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Mata.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Bailey, of Rosenberg; sons, Barry Leigh Bailey, Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Meridian, and Brad Bailey and wife, Lynn, of Rockdale; step-children, Melissa Hoppe and husband, Chris, of Richmond, and Robert Barnum, of Richmond; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; number of nieces, nephews and other relatives, and many friends.
