Grace was born in Peaster, TX to James Addison Bradley and Effie Mae(Erwin)Bradley on February 3, 1924. Grace married William Odis Short, on Jan 16, 1941 and had five children, Alvin Jay, Harold Joe, Derlene Deloris, Ronnie Gene, and Ricky Earl, Ricky Earl died at birth and is buried in Llano. She lived in Amarillo most of her life, working as a nurse aid at St. Anthony's Hosp. She loved everyone and is loved and remembered by many. Her ancestors have a cemetery in Poolville,TX named Erwin cemetery and the book telling about her family is published at the Weatherford, TX library dedicated by her loving granddaughter Larraine McCullin Martinez.
She preferred to be called Grace and is buried next to her husband of many years and many of the family members are buried in Llano. She passed away from bone cancer that took her from us in about three months.
