Sylvania –Linda Faye Spence McBride, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Reidsville, GA to the late Fred Hinton & Mary Lee King Spence. She was retired from Glendale Nursing Home where she was the Administrator and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church. She was also a member of Girls Read In The South (G.R.I.T.S.), was the author two books, "Mema Has Cancer" and "Why Not Me", was a loving lady and was good to everyone. She was preceded in death by her Brother: Roger Spence.
Survivors: Husband: Robert L. "Bob" McBride of Sylvania; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Amanda Ray & Keith Oglesby of Sylvania; Sons: Tommy Ray of Augusta, GA and Rev. David Lee Ray of Los Angeles, CA; Bonus-Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Angela M. & Rob Mesecher and Stephanie M. & Chris Burke, all of Sylvania; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Rev. Larry &Mildred Spence of Reidsville, GA and Steve & Joy Spence of Rincon, GA; Grandchildren: Hunter Oglesby, Hannah Oglesby, Micah Mesecher, Sarah Mesecher, Cade Burke and Braylon Burke, all of Sylvania; A number of Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services: Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Ray, Mrs. Joy Spence, Rev. Rob Mesecher and Dr. Jack Gatlin officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
