AGED WOMAN DIED THIS FORENOON

MRS. KAREN NELSON PASSED AWAY AT HOME OF HER DAUGHTER

Mrs. Karen Nelson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lars Haugsted, Main street and M avenud, at 11 a. m. today.

The aged woman who had made her home with the daughter for the past five years, had been failing for some time and her death was not unexpected.

She leaves besides her daughter at whose home she died, another daughter, Mrs. Walter Paulson of Ames, and a son, Otto Nelson of Algona; stepchildren, Mrs. Guy Hardin and Mrs. J. K. Peterson of Nevada and a stepson Saren Nelson of Woodburn, Ore.; brothers Rasmus Larsen and Enos Larsen of Nevada and other relatives.

Mrs. Nelson was born in Denmark, May 21, 1847 and came to the United States in 1874 and her home had been in Iowa since that time.

She was well-known and respected in a wide circle of the acquaintances and her death will be mourned most sincerely by them.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced as yet, they being dependent upon word from relatives at a distance.

The son Otto Nelson had been down from Algona Sunday and spent the day with the aged mother not realizing that the end was so near.
