Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Moline, where he was a member. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the InTouch Program.
Mr. Barnett was born Feb. 21, 1979, in Moline, son of James and Cheryl Finkle Barnett.
Nicholas was a 1998 graduate of Rock Island High School. He was a member of the InTouch Program in Rock Island.
He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, Playstation games, K'Nex model construction, riding ATVs and talking on the phone with friends.
Survivors include his parents, James and Cheryl Barnett, and sister, Janis Barnett, all of Coal Valley.
