Clarence B. Meeker, 87, of
Burnettsville, died at 1:15 p.m.
Monday at Turtle Creek Convalescent
Center Monticello.
Born Dec. 8, 1889, in
Goodland, the son of Delos and
Emmaline Bishop Meeker, he
was first married to the former
Blanche F. Personette May 14,
1910, at Burnettsville. She died
Oct. 3. 1962. His second
marriage was in Indianapolis
Feb. 1,1964, to the-former Ruth
Washburn, who died May 7,
1971.
A farmer until 1935, he was
made a Master Farmer of Indiana
in 1930 and was farm
manager for Farm Craft
Management Service of Oxford
for 20 years. A Federal Land
Bank appraiser, he was a
member of the Burnettsville
Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons Ivan,
Rt. 1, Burnettsville; and Eldo,
Rt. 2, Logansport: two sisters,
Mrs Freida Berkshire, CoCoa,
Fla., and Mrs. Nellie Cass,
Burnettsville; five grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren.
Three sisters and a brother
preceded him in death.
The Rev. Raymond Skellon
and the Rev. Albert Buchanan
will officiate at funeral services
at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Fisher
Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Davis Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
