JOHN BARFIELD
John Barfield, age 76, died at his home on Andalusia, Route 6, Sunday. He was a member of the Heath Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nora Barfield; five sons, John Edward, Barney and David, Miami, Fla., Joseph, Gadsden, Ala., and Daniel, Andalusia; eight daughters, Mrs. Ethel Mancil, Andalusia, Mrs. Nellie Grantham, Miami ,Fla.; Miss Mary Barfield, Tuscaloosa, Miss Clara Barfield, California, Mrs. Lucille Frostman, Andalusia; Miss Katherine Barfield, Miss Jane Barfield and Miss Betty Barfield of Andalusia; two sisters, Mrs. Pashie Mitchell, Plant City, Fla., and Mrs. Mattie Jones, Laurel Hill, Fla.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Heath with Rev. G.H. Shears officiating. Music was furnished by the church choir.
Interment took place in the church cemetery with Benson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
