Alan served as a Private First Class, Company C, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He resided in Newark, Delaware prior to the war.

Alan started his Tour Of Duty in Vietnam on April 17, 1969.

He was " Killed In Action " by small gun fire in the Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.

He was awarded the " Bronze Star " and the Purple Heart.

He is honored on Panel 21W, Row 100 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C.

Son of Mr. & Mrs. David F. Geissinger.
