She was the daughter of Lawrence and Sevalla (Northern) Glendening. She married Clyde Bowler on August 30, 1919, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1979.
She was a member of the May Chapel Society of Christian Service.
Her survivors were two sons, Bud and Cline Bowler; two daughters, Madalene White and June Bowler; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lawrence Bowler; and a daughter, Norma Swan.
Services were held on December 5, 2002 in the Smith Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, Illinois, followed by interment in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
