Julie was born Dec. 23,1945 in Ishpeming to Eugene J. & Myrtle J. (Prisk) Rappazini and was a graduate of Negaunee St. Paul High School, Class of 1964. She lived in Cedar Rapids for many years where she worked as a teacher's aid for the Cedar Rapids School System. She returned to this area from 1990-97 and worked for the Marquette Area Public Schools. She then returned to Cedar Rapids.
Julie was a former member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Vicki (Paul) Habhab of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her son, Scott E. Caldwell of Cedar Rapids, 3 grandchildren: Jameela, Raya & Tarik Habhab, her mother, Myrtle J. Rappazini of Negaunee, 2 sisters; Kathy (Joseph) McCormick of Negaunee, Debra (Nick) Dalessandro of Appleton, WI, her brother, Raymond (Ilene) Rappazini of Negaunee, nieces & nephews: Paula Alexander, Patti Francis, Steve McCormick, Jennifer (Craig) Biekkala, Toni Rappazini, & Zachary Dalessandro. She was preceded in death by her father Eugene J. Rappazini on Feb. 5, 1985.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Oct. 15,2005 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. John J. Shiverski officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at St. Paul Church from 10:00AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
