TOWER CITY - Elmer L. "Froggy" Long, 85, passed away Monday morning at his home surrounded by family.
Born in Muir, August 6, 1928, a son of the late Laura Miller Stahl. He was a Korean War Veteran.
He was retired from TRW/Chromolloy, Harrisburg.
He was a member of the Tower City Moose, Tower City Legion, Gratz VFW and the Orwin Fire Company.
He enjoyed spending time with family especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing Euchre, reading and collecting coins.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean Smith Long, 2003, a son Timothy in 1995, two grandchildren, Brandon Merwine and Ashley Schorr and a sister Grace Hause.
Surviving are his children, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with two soon to arrive; one sister, and his beloved dog Whiskers.
Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower city with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Visitation will be from 10:30-11 at the Chapel. To sign the guest book visit www.dimonfuneralhome.com
