Nadine Griffith, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Charlie Cox officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mrs. Griffith was born in Goree on July 1, 1926 to Aubrey and Vera King. She was raised in Goree and was a graduate of Kress High School. She married David Griffith on May 26, 1946, in Lockney. They moved to Panhandle in 1951, and to Amarillo in 1970. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride in everything she did for her family. She was a wonderful cook and always made sure everyone had their favorite dish. Most of all, she loved being "MeMa" to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill King and Forrest Dean King.

Survivors include her husband, David of Amarillo; a daughter, Vonda Marquez and husband Joe of Amarillo, three sons, Gary Griffith of Amarillo, Randy Griffith and wife Peggy of Shawnee, Okla. and Ron Griffith and his wife Amy of Canyon; a brother, Harold King and his wife Mary of Silverton; 13 grandchildren, Stony, Stacy, Brandon, Kevin, Brian, Joel, Shawna, Brett, Craig, Scott, Marisa, Alex and Lauren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be to Empty Stocking fund or Faith City Mission.
