Edna Board Givens, 85, of Parkersburg, went to her heavenly home, Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013.

She was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Palestine, W.Va., a daughter of the late Kelsie T. and Wanda Peck Board.

She was a member of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Sherill Bender Babineaux and husband Albert of Winchester, Ky.; one son, Richard Givens and wife Patricia of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Charles Bender and wife Kristina of Winchester, Ky., Trisha Babineaux of Winchester, Ky., David Givens and wife Jodi of Ravenswood, W.Va., and Tamela Abel and husband Daniel of Bridgeport, W.Va.; great-grandchildren, Braxton Bender, Meagan Forrest and her husband Dan, Caylee and Jordyn Abel, Bella and Isaiah Forrest, and Alissa and Emily Givens; and one sister, Doris Wilson of Washington, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Givens, Jr.; and her brother, Harold Board.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Joe Busch officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Parkersburg Baptist Church Building Fund.
