Edna N. Allen, 71 of Charlotte Hall, MD died on May 6, 2008 at her residence.
Born on February 22, 1937 in Clarendon, NC, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Lula Long Norris. Mrs. Allen was a Bank Teller. She has resided in this area for 14 years. She was a member of Hughesville Baptist Church, Women's Ministry and Bible Study. Her enjoyments were gardening, landscaping, sewing, and traveling. Her husband retired from the Airforce so they traveled and lived around the world.
Survived by husband, Raymond Burton Allen, Jr., sister, Levonia Starnes of Wilmington, NC, brother, James Norris of Clarendon, NC, and numerous friends and relatives in Maryland and throughout the United States.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 10-12Noon at Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Leonardtown Rd., Hughesville, MD where Edna's Life Celebration will be held at Noon with Reverend Keith Corrick officiating. Interment Monday, May 12, 2008 at Noon at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
