Virginia Fay Powers Flaherty, 91, died November 26, 2013 in McLean.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Flaherty was born January 19, 1922 in White Deer. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1938 before moving to McLean in 2009. She married George H. Flaherty on September 22, 1938 in Panhandle. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2004. She was a homemaker and a former member of First Assembly of God. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers, a sister, two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her son, Kent Flaherty and wife Loretta of Pampa, a daughter-in-law, Janice Flaherty of Amarillo, a grandson, Steve Flaherty and wife Shelly of Amarillo, three granddaughters, Shelly Brooks and husband Chad of Pampa, Shawn Peters and husband Tom of Dallas, and Brenda Stallings and husband Tom of Townville, South Carolina, and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Briarwood Church, 1800 W. Harvester, Pampa, Texas 79065.
