Jackson McCoy, 70, a Civil War veteran and a member of one of the oldest families of Mercer County, died Monday at his home in Pine Township, Mercer County, from apoplexy.
He was a member of Company I, One Hundred and Third Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers and for many months a prisoner in Andersonville prison. He is survived by his wife and several children.
