Edwin H. Davidson, 59, OCEANSIDE -- Edwin Davidson passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was born March 11, 1950 in Oakland, Calif., son of Ernest and Anne Davidson. Edwin attended Lyman High School, Florida (1968), and the National University, Vista, Calif. (1989), receiving a Bachelor of Technical Education, Cum Laude. He worked for the City of Oceanside as a Code Enforcement Officer, and for the City of Carlsbad, also as a Code Enforcement Officer (1998-2009). He served in the USMC, rank CWO4, Navigator on C-130 for 24 years (retired 1996). He was a member of the National Woodie Club Edwin loved yardwork, upkeeping the home, attending old and new car shows, was a lifetime runner, spending time with grandkids and family, and building playgrounds for them. He loved going to the beach and Beach Boys music, loved aviation, especially attending air shows, and loved going on family vacations and trips with his wife. Edwin loved his lists and always had another project to do. He enjoyed Mel Brooks comedies, was always telling people what they needed to do, and always with a dustbuster cleaning. Edwin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debby; his three children, Adam, Rachel, and Angela; and his three grandchildren, Micah, Cailin, and Brody. Other surviving family members include his father, Ernest; brother, Philip; sisters, Donna and Anita, and his Aunt Kittrell. There will be a visitation held between 4 - 8 pm, Friday, April 3, at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, April 5, at North Coast Church in Vista.
