Graveside services for Gerald Dean McKinney, 77, of Davenport, will be 10:00 am on Friday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Military rites will be conducted by the Rock Island Vietnam Veterans of America #299. Those wishing to attend the graveside service should meet at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary on Friday at 9:15.

Gerald Dean McKinney was born on April 18, 1936 in Muscatine, IA, the son of James and Jeffie (Eblen) McKinney. He married Mary Ann Gordon in 1958 in Muscatine, IA. Gerald worked for HJ Heinz as District Manager out of the Chicago Branch, then as a food broker for Iowa Illinois Sales. He retired in 1998.
Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Hawkeye Fan. He served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann of Davenport, sons; Jerry (Lisa) McKinney of Calamus, IA, Greg (Sandra) McKinney of Donahue, IA, four grandchildren, Jason, Jim, Matt, Bret and one great grandchild, Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elsie Clark and brother, James McKinney.
