She married Verl Joseph Haynes September 17, 1950 in Creighton, Nebraska. The couple lived in several mid-west communities before moving to Fullerton, Nebraska and then to Columbus. Rosella was a full time mother, homemaker and a volunteer librarian. She enjoyed the outdoors, walking, bird watching, spending quality time with her friends and family and continued enjoyment of reading. Rosella was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and Bible Study Group.
