Janet Lynn Pitts Standridge, daughter of the Mabel Ingle Pitts and the late Leon Pitts, was born August 9, 1945 in Watseka, Illinois. She departed this life November 25, 2013 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 16 days. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, teacher and friend. She was a paraprofessional with Izard County Consolidated School. During her life she was married three times. She was united in marriage to Rex Buck and to this union two children were born. In 1973 she married Wesley Largent and in 1996 she wed J. B. Standridge. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter: Michele Smith of Franklin; her mother: Mabel Pitts of Ottawa, Illinois; one brother: Gary Pitts of Ottawa, Illinois; one sister: Jackie Goeppinger of Decatur, Illinois; two grandchildren: Holly Hawk and Caelan Hawk; one great grandchild: Evelynn Murrill; three stepchildren: Jeana Leggitt and husband David of Atkins, Arkansas, Natasha Hamilton and husband Jeremy of Florida and JB. Standridge of Vilonia, Arkansas; four step grandchildren: Shantell Standridge, Justice Bryan, Devon Smith, Colton Standridge and Andrew Romine and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; two husbands; and one son: Kevin Buck.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Franklin Baptist Church with Robert Norton officiating.
Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Visitation will began at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at Franklin Baptist Church.
