She retired as a clerk for U. S. Government at Fort Riley, KS. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She attended Woodbine Schools, and graduated from Woodbine High School with the class of 1951. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Latimer, KS.
She is preceded in death by Ralph Slayton on April 23, 1965, and married Robert Vahsholtz on December 23, 1994, and he preceded in death on September 12, 2010. She was preceded in death by her brother Martin Easter and her parents.
She is survived by her son Carl Randall Slayton of Woodbine; and three (3) grandsons: Jesse Charles, Jackson Daniel, and Lance Randall.
