Errol C Anderson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away November 24, 2013 in Glenwood, surrounded by family after a valiant 12 year struggle with cancer. He was born August 28, 1947 in Richfield, Utah to Neil Donald and Norma Barney Anderson. He married Mae Beth Oldroyd, June 19, 1971 in the St. George LDS Temple.

Errol graduated from South Sevier High School in 1965. He worked for Central Telephone for 3 years in Las Vegas. He later moved back to Utah where he worked for Mountain Bell for 33 years as a cable and fiberoptic splicer.

Active in the LDS church, Errol also worked in scouting for over 20 years. While in scouts he served as 11 year-old leader, assistant scoutmaster, scoutmaster, assistant varsity coach, and on the scout committee. He was also the Young Men's President. He became a Seventy and was later ordained a high priest. He also served as membership clerk for 5 years and enjoyed going home teaching for many years.

Errol served on the Glenwood Town Council for 4 years, and also served for several years as the president of the Glenwood Irrigation Company.

Errol's family were his pride and joy. He really loved and enjoyed being with his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He loved playing games with whomever he could find to play. Many hours were spent around our kitchen table playing games, more often than not until 2 or 3 in the morning. He taught his children to be hard working and responsible.

Errol loved being around people and will be remembered for his sense of humor. He enjoyed a good joke, and enjoyed making people laugh.

Errol could do about anything he put his mind to do: building a house, repairing cars, working in the yard, or gardening. He enjoyed photography and being outdoors. One of his favorite outdoor adventures was an annual family camping trip at Fish Lake.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mae Beth of 42 years; children: Christie Lee and Terry Gettling, Santaquin; Rustin and ShaVon Anderson, Glenwood; Branden and Chelsea Anderson, Hurricane; Bryant and Kelly Anderson, Chubbuck, ID; Brett and Christal Anderson, Glenwood; and Cade Anderson, Ogden; 19 grandchildren; Phil (Maureen) Anderson, Alano, NV; VerDeana Rafie, Las Vegas, NV; Kirt (Jeanne) Anderson, Monroe; mother-in-law, Lelia Oldroyd, Glenwood.

Preceded in death by parents; father-in-law, Gethin Oldroyd; brother-in-law, Fereidoun Rafie.

The family would especially like to thank the Gunnison Home Health nurses, Cindy and Kim. Also, the doctors and care givers at the Huntsman Cancer Center, and at the Richfield Clinic.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 11:00 am in the Glenwood Ward Chapel. Friends may all call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Magleby Mortuary, Richfield and Saturday at the ward chapel in Glenwood from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
