Carolyn Annette Wiggins, 71, of Fort Smith, AR, passed from this life Saturday, November 23rd, 2013.
Carolyn was born August 8th, 1942 in Monticello, AR to Grand Johnson and Estene Johnson.
Carolyn was retired from the Fort Smith, AR Public School System having taught at Sutton and Trusty Elementary Schools and Darby Junior High School. Her students knew her as "Mrs. Luce". Carolyn graduated with Undergraduate and Masters Degrees from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Carolyn was the Homecoming Queen at Fort Smith Junior High School for the school year of 1956/57. Carolyn was also a cheerleader in Junior High and High School. She graduated from Fort Smith High School in the Class of 1960. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, AR and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Lloyd Dean Wiggins, a son Blake Luce and wife Latrecia Luce of Lavaca, AR and grandsons John Luce and Josuha Luce of Fort Smith, AR.
Funeral service will be at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 at 11:00 AM with a Private Burial at National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
