Danny Parsons of the Kemmer Gem Community of St. Charles, VA was born in Pennington Gap, VA on Sunday, February 28, 1954 and departed this walk of life on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN at the age of 59 years. Danny was the minister at the Free Penticostal Church in Pennington Gap and was the assistant chief and Chaplin for the St. Charles Fire and Rescue Squad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Hazel Parsons; Three brothers, William, Jesse and Claude Parsons and three sisters, Delores Cochran, Della Parsons and Alberta Flanary. Danny is survived by his wife, Sherry Parsons of the home; Two sons, William L. Lee Parsons of Noblesville, IN and Danny Parsons Jr. of Dryden, VA; Six daughters, Madison, Hannah and Arianna of the home. Kendra Kimberlin and husband, Richard of Pennington Gap, Melissa Muse and husband, Barry of St. Charles, VA and Rebecca Parks and husband, Randy of the Flatwood Community of Jonesville, VA. Thirteen grandchildren, William, Peyton, Gracie, Keaton, Chandler, Sierra, Phoenix, Jacob, Yazmin, Shelby, Nakadence, Dominick and Devon. Danny is also survived by three brothers, Earl Parsons and wife Loretta, and Hans Parsons and wife Violet, all of St. Charles, VA and Phillip Parsons and wife Lois, of Noblesville, IN; Two sisters, Joyce Ewing and husband Ronnie, and Geraldine Salyers and husband Bill, all of Noblesville, IN. Also lots of nieces and nephews and many friends.



Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. November 26, 2013 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Rev Joe Deary, Rev. Tony Witt, Brother David Woods and Rev. Richard Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. Tuesday until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12 noon Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Witt, David Woods, Corey Bledsoe, Tony Flinders, David Harris and John Bub Snowden.
